Meeting Held Wednesday 19th July 2006
MINUTES OF LAST MEETING: a copy was circulated to each Member,and were confirmed as a true record.
1/ The Clerk was pleased to report that the District of Easington Youth Forum had donated a dog foul bin to the village. This would be given free of charge and the District of Easington would maintain and clean the bin free of charge .Members were asked for their preferences on where it should be sited RESOLVED that the bin be next to the Aged Miners, Tobin Street.
2/ Launch of the Leisure Saver Card Leisure Saver Card available at Peterlee Leisure Centre at the cost of £1.00 annual fee available with card were a variety of concessions.
3/ Police update Sgt Ramsden said reports were slightly down, and said it was the recreation ground that was the main target and that they are giving the matter their full attention. Also a member reported that under age drinkers are still obtaining drinks from top shop, They have been seen carrying large bottles of Alcopops and drinking it up the recreation grounds. The member gave the times when this was happening and they said they would take it on board. Sgt Ramsden said they have been in touch with PC Seymour and he was willing to co-operate.
No Meeting in August - next meeting September 20th 7pm
At least some people appreciate the time and effort being put in to the recreation ground. A visit on Friday 21st July to see the finished work, found some youths there who said they had been up there every day since it was finished, and they thought it was great.
