THE ANNUAL ASSEMBLY OF ELECTORS FOR TRIMDON FOUNDRY PARISH COUNCIL WERE HELD IN TRIMDON STATION COMMUNITY CENTRE WEDNESDAY 18th MAY
 
Re-elected, no change:
G. MARTIN (CHAIR)
G.A. MASON (VICE)
Parish Councillors:
S.A. MASON
L. GRIGG
J. GRIGG
B.D. FERGUSON
H. MARTIN.
 
Members of the public that were present requested extra speed humps, and were informed that this work is already programmed.
Donations are required to fund Youth Club Workers. The Parish Council will support this as and when it feels the time is right.
RESOLVED this information be noted.
Councillor updated members on the progress of the new play area equipment installation, and stated that due to the swampy nature of the ground work had been held up, and that it was necessary to have a concrete base installed to take the weight of the new changing rooms. The cost of this amounts to £1250
RESOLVED that a local contractor to be given the job and that he proceed with work as soon as possible.

Questions were asked about fly tipping along the disused railway line. This problem is being looked into by District and County Council representatives.

Councillor J Freak informed members that that all future Home Housing tenants will be rigourously vetted prior to being allocated a property.

The Police were in attendance and reported, during April to now, there had been 32 incidents, mainly traffic and vandals smashing shop windows,  but no thefts had been reported
There had been some damage done to the School and the Police were hoping to get funding to install security cameras.
